A Model for Human Resource Development in Producing Research Results: Aranyaprathet District Public Health Office, Sa Kaeo Province
Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to compare perceptions about research skills, research attitude, research practice and administrational support in personnel research before and after the experiment. 2) To create and evaluate a model to promote research potential of personnel at Aranyaprathet District Public Health Office, Sa Kaeo Province. This research was designed as a quantitative and qualitative mixed research. Quizzes and questionnaires were utilized to obtain data and develop a model using focus group questions. Research methods; Phase 1: Study perceptions, attitudes, and research practices of personnel and support of administrational personnel in conducting research. Phase 2: Group process to create the promotion model. Phase 3: Implementation of the promotion model. Phase 4: Evaluation of the promotion model by the sample group to study perceptions, attitudes, practices related to research of personnel and the administrative support in conducting research by personnel is from the Aranyaprathet District Public Health Office, Sa Kaeo Province, 35 people. And the sample group used in the workshop to create the promotion model of 10 people. Statistics used in quantitative data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and qualitative data to analyze the content of the data. Comparison of perceived average scores on research skills of personnel, personnel's attitude towards research, research practices of personnel. The administrative support for personnel research before and after joining the program and analyzing the data by paired t-test. The promotion model is appropriate at a high level (average 4.53). Academic and research works after participating in these activities according to the personnel potential development model for producing research results of Aran District Public Health Office, Sa Kaeo Province, there are 14 works, divided into 2 survey research studies to study health behaviors, 2 survey research studies to study the relationship of factors, 1 quasi-experimental research, 1 R2R research, and 1 quasi-experimental research, 1 PAR research, 6 action researches. The personnel had a mean score of perception about research skills before and after the experiment differing significantly at the 0.05 level. Before the experiment, there was a perception about research skills was at a moderate level (average 2.80), after the experiment at the moderate level (average 3.26), the mean scores of attitudes toward doing research before and after the experiment were significantly different at the 0.05 level was at a moderate level (average 3.39), after the experiment is high (average 3.71). The personnel had the mean scores on conducting research before and after the experiment were significantly different at the 0.05 level, before the experiment was at a moderate level (average 3.29), after the experiment was at a moderate level (average 3.38). The personnel had mean scores of supports of administrators in conducting research, before and after the experiment were significantly different at the 0.05 level. Before the experiment, there were administration supports in conducting research at a moderate level (average 3.41), after the experiment at a medium level (average 3.67)
