Aims and Scope

The Journal of Physics and General Science (JPAGS), established in 2017, is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality original research articles, academic papers, and review articles across the spectrum of Physical Sciences, Applied Technology, and Science Education.

The journal welcomes submissions that contribute to the theoretical understanding, experimental findings, computational modeling, and practical applications in the following areas:

1. Physics and Material Science

  • Fundamental and Applied Physics: Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Optics, Thermodynamics, Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear Physics, and Theoretical Physics.

  • Material Science and Engineering: Synthesis, characterization, and application of novel materials, including nanocomposites, semiconductors, polymers, and materials for energy storage.

  • Acoustics, Energy, and Environment: Research related to renewable energy technologies, environmental monitoring using physical principles, and acoustics/vibration studies.

2. Applied Science and Technology

  • Instrumentation and Sensing: Development and application of sensors, scientific instruments, measurement systems, and signal processing.

  • Computational Science: Numerical modeling, simulation, and data analysis related to physical and environmental phenomena.

  • General and Interdisciplinary Science: Scientific studies with practical relevance to agriculture, local resource management, and regional development.

3. Science and Technology Education (STEM Education)

  • Learning Model and Curriculum Development: Research focusing on the design, implementation, and evaluation of innovative learning models (e.g., Inquiry-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, Active Learning, STEM/STEAM integration).

  • Instructional Media and Technology: Studies on the effectiveness of educational technology, simulations, augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR), and digital media in teaching science.

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Research on assessing scientific literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and conceptual understanding in science subjects.

  • Professional Development: Studies related to enhancing the pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) and teaching competencies of science teachers.

Publication Policies and Guidelines

How to Consider Articles (Submission Requirements):

  1. Articles submitted for publication must never be published or pending for publication in other journals.

  2. The author of the article must comply with the guidelines for the presentation of academic articles or research articles for publication, including the reference system that must follow the rules of the journal.

  3. Criteria for Acceptance: The articles must be reviewed by peer-reviewed at least 3 experts with expertise in related fields, using single-blinded assessments and approval from the editorial team.

  • Thai and English

Schedule of Issue:

The journal publishes 2 issues per year:

  • Issue 1: January - June

  • Issue 2: July - December

Publication Fee:

  • The Journal of Physics and General Science does not charge any publication fees.
