Abstract

This research aim to study the effect of treatment time from plasma jet to inactivate Colletotrichumspp. selected from Bird Chilli past on PDA plate for 18 plate. The plasma jet was set at the power of 40 watt, the flow rate of Argon gas of 0.5 L/min and the distance between the tip of the jet and the sample of 5 mm. The temperature and relative humidity were 25°C and 51-53%, respectively. The samples were irradiated with the plasma jet for 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 minutes, respectively. The growth of the fungus was obtained by measuring the diameter of the colony every 24, 48 and 72 hours, showed that the increase of treatment time could inactivate Colletotrichum spp. from the Bird Chilli and the treatment time of 8 minutes can completely inactivate the fungus.
